Last updated: June 19, 2026
If you believe a server or IP address on the GhostVPS network is being used for abuse, please tell us. We take reports seriously and act quickly — strong enforcement is how we keep a privacy-respecting service healthy for everyone.
What to include in your report
The more specific your report, the faster we can locate and stop the source. Please include where possible:
- The IP address (and port, if relevant) involved.
- Date and time of the activity, including the time zone (UTC is ideal).
- The type of abuse (spam, DDoS, phishing, malware/C2, scanning, copyright, illegal content, etc.).
- Evidence — relevant log excerpts, full email headers, sample URLs, or packet/flow data. Please do not send actual malware binaries or illegal content; describe and link instead.
- Any reference or ticket number from your own systems, and how we can reach you for follow-up.
Types of abuse we act on
These map directly to our Acceptable Use Policy. CSAM, active attacks, and similar zero-tolerance categories result in immediate action.
How we handle reports
- Acknowledge. We confirm receipt of credible reports and open an internal case.
- Investigate. We correlate the IP/time you provided with our records to identify the responsible server.
- Act. Depending on severity we may notify the customer to remediate, throttle or suspend the server, or terminate it outright. For zero-tolerance categories we act immediately, preserve relevant logs, and cooperate with lawful requests.
- Follow up. Where appropriate and lawful, we update the reporter on resolution. We may withhold customer details, but we will stop the abuse.
Response time
We review abuse reports promptly and prioritize them above routine support. Urgent, in-progress harm (CSAM, active attacks) is handled as fast as we are able; other reports are worked in order of severity. We don't publish a fixed SLA we can't honestly guarantee, but abuse handling is a top priority for us.
Copyright / intellectual-property complaints
For alleged copyright or trademark infringement, email abuse@ghostvps.shop with a clear description of the protected work, the infringing URL or IP, your contact information, and a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized. We will review and act on valid complaints.
Law-enforcement requests
Law-enforcement and other legal requests should be sent to abuse@ghostvps.shop through official channels. We respond to valid, lawful requests, but we can only ever provide the limited data we actually hold — by design, GhostVPS does not collect identity documents or KYC information. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what data exists.
