How to fund your account with crypto (even if you're new to it)
GhostVPS is paid with cryptocurrency โ no bank card, no KYC. If you already hold some Bitcoin, Monero or USDT, funding your account takes about a minute. If you've never used crypto before, this guide walks you through getting a small amount and topping up so you can deploy your first server.

The quick version
If you already have crypto in a wallet: open the panel, go to Billing โ Add funds, choose Bitcoin, Monero, or USDT (TRC20), and you'll get a one-time deposit address and an exact amount. Send that exact amount from your wallet, wait for the network to confirm (usually a few minutes), and your balance updates automatically. That's it โ then deploy a server.
Step 1 โ Pick a coin
GhostVPS accepts three currencies, and all of them work the same way at checkout:
- Monero (XMR) โ the most private option. It hides the sender, receiver and amount by default, so the payment can't be traced on a public ledger. Best if payment privacy matters to you.
- Bitcoin (BTC) โ the most widely held coin. It works perfectly, but transactions are recorded on a public blockchain that can be analyzed.
- USDT (TRC20) โ a US-dollar stablecoin on the TRON network, so the amount you send doesn't swing with the market. Also public, and the issuer can freeze addresses.
If you're unsure, we compare them in detail in Bitcoin vs Monero vs USDT for paying anonymously.
Step 2 โ Get some crypto (if you have none)
You only need a small amount to start. There are a few common ways to get it, from easiest to most private:
- A mainstream exchange (e.g. Kraken, Coinbase) โ the simplest on-ramp. You'll verify your identity there, so the purchase is tied to you; however, what you spend it on afterward isn't shared with the exchange, and an XMR spend is private once it leaves.
- A non-custodial swap โ if you already hold one coin (say some BTC), built-in exchanges in wallets like Cake Wallet let you swap it to Monero without creating an account.
- Peer-to-peer marketplaces โ buy directly from another person, often without an account.
- A Bitcoin ATM โ cash to crypto in person; limits and ID requirements vary by machine and country.
Step 3 โ Put it in a wallet
Hold your crypto in a wallet you control, so you can send the exact payment amount. Reputable, open-source choices:
- Monero: the official Monero GUI/CLI, Feather, or Cake Wallet (mobile).
- Bitcoin: Electrum, Sparrow, or Cake Wallet.
- USDT (TRC20): any TRON-compatible wallet (for example Cake Wallet or a TRON wallet) โ make sure it's the TRC20 network, not ERC20.
Never paste a private key or seed phrase into any website, including ours. You only ever need to send funds out to the deposit address we show you.
Step 4 โ Top up your GhostVPS balance
- Open the panel and go to Billing โ Add funds.
- Choose your currency (Bitcoin, Monero, or USDT-TRC20) and the amount.
- The panel shows a one-time deposit address, the exact amount in your chosen coin, a QR code, and an expiry time.
- In your wallet, send the exact amount to that address (scan the QR or copy-paste the address). Crypto is irreversible, so double-check before sending.
- Wait for the network to confirm โ usually a few minutes. Your balance updates automatically and the invoice flips to paid.
- Head to the Marketplace, pick a plan and region, and deploy. Billing is hourly from your prepaid balance, so you only pay for what you run.
Tips to avoid mistakes
- Send the exact amount. Underpaying can leave the invoice unpaid; sending from an exchange that deducts a withdrawal fee can make the received amount fall short โ account for fees so the amount that arrives matches the invoice.
- Mind the expiry. Each invoice is valid for a limited window and locks the crypto amount at that moment. If it expires, just generate a new one.
- Use the right network. For USDT, send over TRC20 (TRON) โ sending on the wrong network can lose funds.
- Keep your transaction ID. If anything looks off, the tx hash lets us (and you) confirm the payment on-chain.
- Start small. You don't need a big balance โ top up a little first, deploy, and add more later. Hourly billing means a small balance still gets you real server time.
